Well that was horrible! Well done to all 193 people who made it round a very slippy and rainy Pocket park on Saturday. To the 11 of you who took park in their first parkrun: it’s normally a lot nicer in June.
A special thanks to all the volunteers and pacers from NiceTri. It’s lovely to have the support of the local sports groups here in St Neots and I hope the rain hasn’t put you off doing another takover soon.
The first finsiher this week was Tom Stead in a new PB of 18:34 and our first female finisher was Ellie Sherriffs in a time of 21:38. The highest age grade went to Maurice Hemingway with 75.13% and a new PB of 22:07.
A massive thank you to all our volunteers to brave the rain this week: Alison Wright, Charlie Watkins, Charlotte Simpson, Chris Wright, Christopher Ferguson, Colm Crowley, Elizabeth Cowell, Elizabeth Studd, Helen Saxton, Ian Payne, Jeremy Hill, Joanne Carrington, Joanne Kirkham, Josh Brunning, Katie Ridley, Keith Ritchie, Kerry Surkitt, Lucy Boothby, Mandy Rodgers, Michaela Ridley, Natalie Bartlett, Nikki Wright, Paul Newell, Pedro Cabrita, Phil Whitbread, Richard Rodgers, Ryan Moroney, Sarah Tully, Simon Boothby, Steve Childerley, Steve Moore, Sylvane Anderson-Brown, Tina Codling, Tracy Crowley and our Run Director Stephen Ferguson.

Sunday saw the inaugural event of the Riverside junior parkrun here in St Neots. Well done to all of the runners there, thanks to all the volunteers who made it possible and congratulations to the core team who have got it running so smoothly already!
Thank you to everyone who ran, jogged walked, cheered or volunteered this week. If you’d like to join our list of volunteers for next weekend (or any weekend) you can visit www.parkrun.org.uk/pocket/volunteer/ to find out more.
